Alaskan resort-style accommodations for your dog!
We call it . . . Alyeska PAWS
Resort . . .
only for the truly pampered pooch! But book your dog’s vacation early,
as our facility is limited to a precious few!
Located
in Girdwood, Alaska (only 30-40 minutes south of Anchorage) – the
heart of Alaska’s year-round recreation paradise – Alyeska PAWS
Resort offers the ultimate destination for your dog to enjoy a vacation
while you are away from home. And you can be certain that your dog will
NEVER see the inside of a cage while vacationing with us. Doesn’t your
dog deserve it?
Picture
it . . . your dog lounging in his/her very own log cabin, completely
immaculate and luxuriously equipped to satisfy even the most particular
human! The private and spacious cabin is tastefully furnished with a
real bed (human size that is!), an endless supply of treats if you so
desire, a bucket of safe and fun toys to play with (including any of
yours from home, too!), and even a radio customized to your (or
your dog’s) listening pleasure. Several times throughout
the day (in addition to feeding times), we check in on your dog and give
special love and attention (and treats, too!), ensuring he/she is
thoroughly enjoying their stay with us.
All
this . . . AND . . . your dog enjoys access to the outdoors at his/her
leisure all day long in their own large fenced-in yard. If that’s not
enough to satisfy even the most pampering pet owner, included in your
dog’s stay are three personilized and private 30-minute sessionsof outdoor activity (morning, noon and evening). This time is 100% about your dog, and you choose what we do - a 30-minute leash walk, a 30-minute snuggle session, or a 30-minute playtime off leash in our large fenced-in exercise yard.
In
addition, and most importantly, we live on the premises and utilize
security cameras which enable us to be certain your dog is safe and
secure at all times while in our care.
COME
VISIT US
We
strongly encourage you to come visit us. Make sure that what we say we
offer, we really provide. So many empty promises in this day and age!
PET
OWNERS PLEASE!! YOU SHOULD ALWAYS SEE WHERE AND KNOW HOW YOUR PET WILL
SPEND HIS/HER DAYS WHILE YOU TRAVEL.
We
are available throughout the week (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY PLEASE) for you
to schedule your facility viewing appointment, and we welcome you to
come take a look at who we are and how we do what we do.
And
by the way, bring your dog . . . we’d love to meet him/her . . . and
it’s a great opportunity for your dog to familiarize himself/herself
with the sights, sounds and smells here. That way he/she gets to
experience it all without the added stress of knowing you’re going
away (the packed suitcases, the tense car ride to drop him/her off
before you catch that plane . . . etc.). Doggies are so smart and
sometimes quite sensitive, too!
While
you’re here, enjoy the day in GIRDWOOD (if you have time) . . .
summer hiking and winter skiing . . . you can’t beat it.

HOW
IT WORKS
We
require a completed and signed Boarding Service Contract from each pet
owner prior to making a reservation. This allows us the opportunity to
call your veterinarian to verify your dog is current on all his/her
vaccinations required for admission (Rabies, Distemper Combo, Bordatella).
Your dog must be current on all three of these vaccines. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Check-in
is available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday. Check-out
is available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Monday – Saturday.
No check-ins or check-outs are available on the following
holidays: New
Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Because our facility and staff is limited and we want to give each pet
the very best personalized care, we require all check-ins and check-outs
to be scheduled as appointments. And we appreciate your flexibility and
understanding in this matter.
WHAT
TO BRING
Because
we believe it is very important for your pet to remain on the exact same
diet he/she receives at home, we do not supply food as part of our
boarding services. Please be sure to bring your dog’s food with you,
and make sure there is more than enough to feed him/her during the
entire stay. Also, bring your dog’s vitamins and/or any medications
you wish us to administer while in our care. Additional fees will be
incurred should we run out of any food, vitamins and/or medications
required for your dog during his/her stay with us.
You
are welcome to bring any item from home that you feel will aid in the
comfort, security and well-being of your dog while staying here.
Examples include (but are not necessarily limited to) treats, toys,
blankets, bedding, cleaned food/water dishes, brushes, crate or kennel
(as long as it will fit in the cabin, and if it would assist in
comforting your dog in your absence). Please be sure to label all items
with your dog’s name. If you have any questions about what you can
bring, please ask.

Admission Requirements
Because
Alyeska PAWS desires this Resort to be a place of peace, comfort and
safety for all dogs who vacation with us, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we
allow any dogs that possess one or all of the following behaviors at
this facility:
•
Dogs that are not house trained (i.e. dogs that urinate, defecate,
or
are destructive to furnishings
when left unattended inside).
•
Dogs
that have a tendency to bark excessively and/or
uncontrollably.
Our
desire is to abide by the Anchorage Municipal Code prohibiting chronic
animal noise which means: repeated vocalization by an animal for more
than seven (7) consecutive minutes during the daytime noise period (7:00
a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and more than five (5) consecutive minutes during
the nighttime noise period (10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
•
Dogs
that are aggressive toward other dogs, people and/or
children.
•
Dogs
that are escape artists (i.e. dogs that have attempted to
and/or
continue to attempt
to free themselves from leashes,
collars and/or enclosed areas).
We
believe it is important that the dogs entrusted to us receive the
ultimate care, and this includes providing a calm, quiet and safe stay.
This sort of atmosphere relieves each dog from unnecessary nervousness,
anxiety, distraction and stress and frees him/her to relax, have a blast
and enjoy all the benefits Alyeska PAWS Resort has to offer!
WE
ALL KNOW THE BEHAVIORS OF OUR OWN PETS, AND ALYESKA PAWS THANKS YOU IN
ADVANCE FOR YOUR ADHERENCE TO THIS RESTRICTION.
Alyeska
PAWS reserves the right to prohibit admittance (even at the time of
check-in) of any dog that shows any of the behaviors discussed above,
any dog that shows signs of contagious disease or parasitic infestation,
and any dog that has not been currently and properly vaccinated. We also
reserve the right to charge additional handling fees for excessively
difficult and/or aggressive dogs that require additional time in order
that we may deliver proper care.
Emergencies
In
the rare case of an emergency, we contact you, your vet, and utilize the
local, 24-hour veterinary emergency hospitals.

Upon
admission for services, your signature of Boarding Service Contract
acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies explained on
our website, in our written literature and on our contract. Thank you
for your trust in allowing us to care for your pet, a member of your
family and of ours.
